Greater Community Bank Supports St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center
For the past several years, Greater Community Bank of Totowa has supported the St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. St. Joseph’s provides high caliber medical care to the community for patients of every age - from the very smallest of patients in Neonatal Intensive Care to the elderly in Geriatrics or Nursing Care facilities. This year, Greater Community Bank organized a corporate fundraising campaign for St. Joseph’s in all six of their Passaic County branches. The campaign commenced on September 15th and ended on October 13th and thanks to all of their efforts, employee and customer contributions, they were able to raise over $4,600 for the Children’s Hospital at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
During the campaign at which donations were collected and paper hearts were displayed around the branches, the bank also supported St. Joseph’s special drawing by donating six giant Teddy Bears handsomely outfitted in St. Joe’s T-Shirts, along with six $100 Toys R Us Gift Cards. Six winners were drawn from the Passaic County branches located in Clifton, Little Falls and Totowa.
In addition to the prize donations for the special drawing, the bank also offered to host a pizza party for the branch that raised the most money during the campaign. Much to their surprise, there was a tie between the Union Boulevard branch in Totowa and the Main Street branch, in Little Falls. Pizza parties were held at both locations with special guests Timothy P. Barr, Vice President of Development, Executive Director of the St. Joseph’s Foundation attending both, and Karen Moore, Manager of Annual Giving and Special Events attending the Main Street celebration.
This year marks the 140th Anniversary of St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center which was established by the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth in Paterson, NJ in 1867. In their 140 year history, they have prided themselves in providing superior care to those who need it, regardless of their ability to pay. The Medical Center has become one of the premier medical facilities in NJ.
