During this past summer, Greater Community Bank awarded the John L. Soldoveri Educational Foundation Scholarship to two individuals, Stephanie Idrobo of Parsippany High School and Michael DePascale of Hasbrouck Heights High School; a $5,000 scholarship was paid to both recipients, payable in installments of $1,250 per year.
The John L. Soldoveri Scholarship Foundation originated in 1999. This scholarship program was named after Greater community Bank’s founder and former Chairman, John L. Soldoveri, whose vision, insight, and leadership has helped guide the Bank from a single branch institution in 1986 to a multi-bank holding company which it is today.
In addition to the Soldoveri Educational Foundation, Bergen Commercial Bank, a Division of Greater Community Bank, issued $1,000 scholarships to the following hard working recipients:
After the Bank presented one of the many scholarships, Amit Panchal, a recipient from Ridgefield High School stated, “I knew I was getting a scholarship, but I didn’t think that it was going to be this much.”
