Greater Community Bancorp Shows Community Support
Greater Community Bank, Member of Greater Community Bancorp and Bergen Commercial Bank, Division of Greater Community Bank, has shown tremendous support for their community through a variety of sponsorships and events over the past few months. As a community bank with a focus on helping their communities grow, the company remains steadfast in on-going contributions to health, education, emergency services, arts and culture, family services and economic development.
Over the past several months, the bank’s branch network located throughout Bergen, Morris and Passaic County participated in and / or contributed to the following events:
In Hackensack, the local Branch made a generous donation to the Baseball Team at Foschini Park and in Hasbrouck Heights they donated over $1,000 to the Hasbrouck Heights Little League Baseball Team. In addition, the Hasbrouck Heights Branch held a Financial/Investment seminar at the Hasbrouck Heights Leisure Club at which there were over 95 attendees which all had the opportunity to win picnic sets donated by the Bank.
In Parsippany the local Branch held numerous lunch-ins at local senior centers including; Lake Hiawatha Seniors, Senior Citizens Club of Parsippany, Saint Ann’s Social Seniors, and Parsippany Chapter AARP. The Branch also raffled off a Digital Camera at the Grand Opening of the Parsippany Library-Troy Hills.
In Totowa, the Union Boulevard Branch, participated in the “It’s Your Life 411” Program at Memorial School in Totowa. The program was to educate 7th and 8th Graders on where they can go for help with teen problems and the consequences of indulging in high risk behaviors. The Bank Staff role played scenarios on problems with college funding, credit card fraud, and identity theft. All 200 students that attended the program were greeted with Bank branded Frisbees.
In Wood Ridge the Branch was a leading supporter of the Annual Wood Ridge Memorial Foundation Dinner/Fundraiser held at the Fiesta. The proceeds from the event were donated for college scholarships for the graduates at Wood Ridge High School. The Branch also made it possible for the Wood Ridge/Moonachie Little League Baseball Team to purchase new uniforms and equipment for their season by donating proceeds from their Team Sponsorship.
