Greater Community Bank
Gives Back to Their Community

Cindy Bollard-Lincoln Park Jaycees and Michele Osiadacz-Branch Manager of Furler Street Branch in TotowaGreater Community Bank wanted to do more than just give the gift of giving. The Furler Street Branch in Totowa and the Lincoln Park Branch combined their efforts to collect toys for the less fortunate children of in the community through the Lincoln Park Jaycees. Customers and employees of the Bank were asked to take a gift card from the Christmas tree and purchase and return an unwrapped gift that a child has asked for this holiday. The Lincoln Park Jaycees originated this program eight years ago with only four children and has since grown to over 150 Pre-Foster care children. These children are taken away from their homes for unknown reasons and are placed in the care of families that aren’t always in the Foster Care System, which means they do not receive any funding from the State. On December 9, 2006, the Lincoln Park Jaycees and volunteers wrapped all of the gifts received and were given to the children on Christmas Day.

With the efforts of the community and the Bank staff, Greater Community Bank collected over 120 gifts! Greater Community Bank would like to thank Outwater Hardware for their generous donation, in addition to everyone that helped make this Toy Drive a success.

In addition to the Soldoveri Educational Foundation, Bergen Commercial Bank, a Division of Greater Community Bank, issued $1,000 scholarships to the following hard working recipients:
